New Beginnings

on January 3, 2011

Praying about the God’s plan for our family and our ministry is often an experience which invokes much emotion.  There is always a word given when asked and often with that follows a bit of instruction.   A relationship is also a partnership with One Pulse, One Breath, and One Purpose.  This year the Lord spoke “New Beginnings” in my spirit.  Confirmation comes in many ways.  With this word the Lord gave a few points to secure His Word in my heart.

  1. This is the 8th year my oldest son has been with us.  The number 8 represents “New Beginnings”  This gives a great sense of expectation and relief as these eight years have had many difficulties to say the very least.  The expectation is that this year we will begin to see healing come over his life.  Sometimes healing is a process.  Lay hands on the sick and they SHALL recover.  Shall denotes that at some point in time healing comes, but recovery does take place. Grateful for the men and women the Lord is using to encourage our family in standing firm in faith.  Thankful for those who are coming along side of us in ministering to each of the children. Thankful for men and women of God who intercede specifically on behalf of my son.  We pray that one day it will be said of him that he is a man of integrity and no guile may be found in him. This will be a year of New Beginnings for his life and we will begin to see why the battle has been so forceful.
  2. New Beginnings was the word given me for our ministry Under His Wings CC, Inc.  The Lord gave vision for UHW in 2002 and we were founded and incorporated in 2003 as a 501(c)3 organization.  Yep, that was 8 years ago!  You can view the vision and heart of UHW on our website found at  http://www.underhiswings6webs.com This year will be a time of New Beginnings in that we are growing and expanding our ministry in those who will be supportive, in area, in homes, and in caring for those who need care.   Believing too this is the year the Lord has appointed for greater things to happen as we seek first the Kingdom of God and all which HE has promised concerning this ministry will come forth and His word will prosper.  This is our due season.  We will see New Beginnings with new people, with new children, a new home, and greater finances to bless others.
  3. Our Single Mom’s Ministry had been praying about a name for our group which meets on Wed. nights at 7:00pm.(details can also be found at our website) One of the ladies called me up the other day to say that she was praying and felt the Lord said to call the group “New Beginnings”  Coincidence I think not!  Its very fitting as our heart for this group is to bring single mothers to a place of newness in relationship to the Father, a greater understanding of His love for them, and a security and confidence in their identity in Him as their Husband. “New Beginnings” is the name of our Lifegroup.  Come and join us and develop new relationships with other women and with our Lord.
  4. Believing this year, and soon, we will be in a new home.  Though we are unsure of just how the Lord is going to make this possible we are certain of the outcome.  For the vision to come to full fruition we are take this word in Isaiah 54 literally as once again it is being spoke over us.

1 “Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband,” says the Lord. 2 “Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! 3 For you will soon be bursting at the seams.Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.

Bursting at the seams…that makes me laugh loudly as we definitely have that one down!  Sparing no expense- now that is where our faith comes in.  Taking a leap of faith and walking on the water with six children in tow and more to come is to say the very least, a bit unnerving.  But our God is able to accomplish more than we could ever think or ask through the power at work within us. The children born in our bereavement will occupy the land.

4 “Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth and the sorrows of widowhood. 5 For your Creator will be your husband; the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is his name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth. 6 For the Lord has called you back from your grief— as though you were a young wife abandoned by her husband,” says your God. 7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with great compassion I will take you back. 8 In a burst of anger I turned my face away for a little while. But with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer.   9 “Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth, so now I swear that I will never again be angry and punish you. 10 For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you. 11 “O storm-battered city, troubled and desolate! I will rebuild you with precious jewels and make your foundations from lapis lazuli. 12 I will make your towers of sparkling rubies, your gates of shining gems, and your walls of precious stones.

This is a year of rebuilding for us.  A time of desolation and much heartache and trouble over the past few years caused a stifling in the work at hand.  For a brief moment it was as if He had lifted His hand, but now is a time for building.  A time for others to see the vision and take up arms with and for us.  The Lord is faithful.

13 I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace. 14 You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near. 15 If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat. 16 “I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. 17 But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice
raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Welcome to Community Living! ONE Pulse, ONE Breath, ONE Purpose

In this year of New Beginnings we will know our Maker as our Husband.  We will know Him as the Father to the Fatherless.  We will see every hindrance removed, right relationships restored, every enemy sent away, and every lying tongue silenced.  False unity will turn to True Community.  We will see vindication and restoration in all areas and GREAT will be the peace of all the children who are sent our way.   Praise HIM, Praise HIM, JESUS our blessed Redeemer!  He is the God of NEW Beginnings!

I believe that this is a year of “Harvest”

    • True the Harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few – Father I pray that you send workers with skill to fulfill the work. You have workmen in abundance: hewers, workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of craftsmen without number, skillful in doing every kind of work. With gold, silver, bronze, and iron. You have financers and businesswomen and men, You have So let us arise and be doing, and the Lord be with you! I pray Lord that I may be found among the laborers and not just one expecting a harvest. Let us do the work and leave the results up to you. In Your Name Jesus
