Sensitive Skin

on March 15, 2011

ITs not what you think.  I’m not speaking of your skin getting irritated.  I’m talking about how easy it is for the flesh to become sensitive toward situations, and people, and things beyond our control.   You know what I mean?  You are sitting and minding your own business and someone does something irritating.  Mind you, they don’t know it is bothering you yet still the irritation within your belly starts stirring and you finally lose it.  But wait a minute.  What is really happening here?  What is it about this situation, this person, this particular set of circumstances that causes you feel so out of control?

Stop a minute. Take a deep breath.  Ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you exactly what the root cause is creating this uneasiness in your soul.  There is an answer and it isn’t that the person is just an aggravation.  Some where in time something happened that created a wound in you that has now become a trigger in certain circumstances.  Therefore, these little sensitivities arise and the Father desires to bring healing to you.  Yield.  He will answer.  If only we would take the time to do this.  Let love be our motive.  Love for God, love for ourselves, and love for each other.

“Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?” Jeremiah 8:22

God has provided a remedy which is suitable for our desperation.  There is more in the balm to heal than there is in guilt to wound.  There is more in HIS grace to save than there is in sin of our flesh to destroy.  Beloved there is a Balm in Gilead! You can and will recover and your “sensitive skin” will clear right up.
