Proclaiming Mysteries

on June 27, 2012

Collossians 4: 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

Yesterday I re-posted a blog called Confessions written in 2009.  Use this link to go and read it.  Read first from the point of view of a woman caring for her children alone, then as if Jesus is speaking.

The Lord has revealed to us through using the above passage in Colossians to encourage us and has triggered some further mysteries of the message we at Under His Wings are to carry to our community and the world.  We are see in great detail His purposes for our ministry, and the burden he has given me specifically, in proclaiming the mystery of the gospel through the fatherless, the orphan, and the widow and the responsibility of the church as a community to come alongside to help in raising them up in the knowledge and the love of Christ within the Kingdom releasing them from their captivity.  We must train them to be in the world and not of it and by doing so pushing them forth to make the name of the Lord famous in all the earth. (James 1:27) The Lord has given me vision as to what this looks like for His people no matter what their nation, or tribe, no matter if rich or poor, there is an answer.  The mission is to carry it to where ever and whomever will listen.

“I wonder how many will simply walk away from the fact that over 925 million people (half of those being children) are hungry/starving today? God help us to care the way you do. Help us to be your hands and feet. What will we choose to give up today so that another can have your hope? Convict us dear Jesus. Help us to lay aside our comforts and to rise up with hearts to see justice walked out for your priceless ones.”

In Isaiah 58 We find what the Lord requires of us and how He sees Justice going forth in the earth and how He blesses those who are obedient to DO His Word.  Take a look:

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the   and break every yoke?Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with  you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? 8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.  9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

“If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, 10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light  will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. 11 The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. 12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

We are devoting ourselves to these things, to prayer, and being thankful for everything taking place – the good and the bad – in knowing it is the Father thrusting us speedily into our future.

Doors are opening for us to take the message forth in places we would have never imagined.   The understanding of  “the chains” I have been burdened to bear has been deepened, and for this cause His voice will be heard.  Please read the Colossians & Isaiah passages and pray these things over us as we continue to hear His voice and prepare for the adventures ahead as we proclaim the mystery of the message clearly.  More updates and specific details coming soon.

Thank you for joining us on this journey through your prayers, financial support, and being His hands and feet when needed.  It is Christ in you the Hope of Glory, Christ in You the Hope of things to come.  Christ in us, living in our hearts and revealing the mysteries through the ages and to the generations.  ONE Pulse, ONE Breath, ONE Purpose.
