Psalm 91:4 HE shall cover you with HIS pinions and under HIS wings you shall trust and find refuge…

For Mothers Only

Thinking today about all we mothers attend to each day and what we see opposed to what the Lord sees.  When He looks into our day where we feel like all that is happening constitutes chaos, is chaos all He sees?  Children crying because they want a sippy cup now, a teenager begging AGAIN to do something you have already said no to, a boy who wants to play without never doing his reading, a preteen whose angry at the whole world and God, yet He takes it out on you, kids throwing up while you are trying to shop, and the house with toys, clothes, and papers all over.  What does he see when He looks at me, at my home, at my life?  Is there such a thing as Divine chaos?  Look again, a four year old is singing as he plays “spring up o well, within my soul, spring up o well, and make me whole.”  Something has to be happening right.  A lot of good comes out of struggle-from a wrestling deep within.  Maybe what God sees is a Mom doing her best, leaning on Him, hoping and waiting for her children to come forth as mighty men and women.  Maybe what looks like chaos to us Moms looks glorious to the Father and He is saying have courage and press on.  Just thinking…

Poet, Washington Irving:
There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power.
They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of
overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love.
